NETWORK SOLUTIONS
As well as providing a range of hardware products, IRIS Technology has developed support infrastructure and communication servers to allow a complete remote data acquisition and monitoring system to be built from off the shelf building blocks. A wide range of services are available, from SMS/GPRS communications servers for asset and vehicle monitoring tracking to complete network solutions which utilise a combination of wired and wireless technologies to provide the most cost effective solution for global applications. IRIS has networked server solutions operating in China, Europe, India and the USA.
COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES
IRIS GSM
The IRIS GSM communications server provides a managed solution for all remote monitoring and data acquisition requirements. As well as providing the communications gateway the server automatically manages the remote data units checking on their operational status and providing automated upload functionality for remote reconfiguration, reprogramming and the recovery of malfunctioning devices.
IRIS WiFi
All IRIS products have the capability to individually connect to a wireless network or form part of a distributed system operating over a wide area network (WAN) using standard 802.11g WiFi technology. When fitted with the optional WiFi module, server applications can take advantage of high speed data downloads and real time data streaming, including video. GSM and WiFi communication technologies can operate side by side within a single system thereby providing the most cost effective solution for high volume data acquisition applications.
IRIS RF
The ultra low power, local RF network provided on the IRIS AT and TT product range expands the unit’s capability providing wireless monitoring of multiple sensors. Individual nodes may be positioned anywhere in a 10m radius to provide alarm inputs for temperature or intrusion or connect to other monitoring devices such as a PIR or CO2 detector in a boat or caravan for example.
